Block Island Wedding — A New England Adventure Elopement

A Block Island Wedding

The two chose Block Island for their elopement wanting a getaway that felt like a destination. With COVID, it’s hard to do something epic, and Block Island has given couples that epic destination wedding.

Vow Ceremony at Black Rock

The two met up for a private vow ceremony at Black Rock, a more secluded trail on Block Island’s Southside. On the edge of the cliff, the two shared their vows privately, with no one to listen. After, we met up for a portrait session in the best locations on Block Island.

Where to Stay for Your Block Island Wedding

The two chose to stay in a suite at the Manisses Hotel, which is walking distance to the main town of Block Island. The hotel is nestled between the Abrams Animal Farm and town. Being away from the hustle and bustle, and close enough to walk in for meals, shopping, or beaches it’s a perfect spot.

The two opted to bring their car to Block Island so that they could venture off away from town. There are plenty of other hotels on the island but the Manisses is unique. The elegant gardens are a perfect place to hideaway and relax after your elopement, with large spa tubs in the rooms, and the perfect couches and oversized chairs to snuggle up together on.

Picking Locations for Your Block Island Wedding

The two had the option to have me scout locations and provide an itinerary of where we would go. Given their requests, I started with Black Rock for their vow ceremony. This was a perfect spot, hidden and tucked away from tourists, and an absolutely stunning location.

From there, I made a shortlist of diverse locations like Payne’s Dock, Fresh Pond, the beach below the Spring House Hotel. The locations really fit the look of what the two wanted for their wedding photos.
